Crow Nadia-Interview
1. GRM.net:Where and when where you born?
Nadia: I was born in Thessaloniki Greece on November 1981.
2. GRM.net: Give us your stats.
Nadia: I am 1.59cm (5ft 3in) tall and I weigh 50-53kg (110-117 pounds) off season. My competition weight is 48-49kg (106-107pounds).
3. GRM.net: How many years are you involved into fitness? How and what made you begin training?
Nadia: My training background began in track and field. One of my male co-athletes had an interest in bodybuilding. After our training sessions in the field we used to go
and lift some weights together. Soon I began to lift and weight train more seriously.
4. GRM.net: Where and when did you make your competition debut?
Nadia: My first competition was the 2003 Greek Cup which I won.
5. GRM.net: What is your greatest competition achievement?
Nadia: Second place at the 2004 Balkan Championship.
6. GRM.net: Was competing in your immediate goals when you began serious training?
Nadia: I am involved in athletics since a very young age and competing is in my blood. It would have been unlikely of me to do something without a goal. The truth is that
for a very long time because of my work I didnt compete, however I always knew that I had to step back on stage.
7. GRM.net: Name me some athletes that you admire.
Nadia: Few are the Greek athletes that I admire. I believe that our most important athlete is Mr. Manolis Tzinidis who is also the only Greek competitor that earned IFBB
pro status. A very good bodybuilder is also Mr. Ioannis Vassalos, he has competed steadily for decades and his contribution to our sport is enormous. One more great
competitor that has honoured our country in numerous international competitions is Mr. Pavlos Mentis. The same goes for Mr. Babbis Sarakinis that I admire also. Lastly I
would like to mention one of the new and rising talents of the Greek BB scene, Manolis Karamanlakis who has a great future in front of him. As far as women competitors, I
admire Vana Kopsia and Litsa Abrami, who unfortunately have retired,
8. GRM.net: What are your hobbies and how do you spend your free time?
Nadia: I enjoy listening to music, dancing (since I am also a dancer), training in martial arts and wrestling. I enjoy long walks in the country, rock climbing and riding my
motorcycle.
9. GRM.net: In your opinion what is your best bodypart?
Nadia: I believe my legs are my strong point.
10. GRM.net: Of the three categories Fitness / Figure / BB which one do you think suits you better?
Nadia: I believe fitness is better, not only for me but for women in general, because sometimes BB can be carried to the extreme and become unflattering to
femininity.
11. GRM.net: Which is harder training or dieting? How long do you need to prepare for a competition?
Nadia: Training is definitely harder. 8 weeks of strict dieting and training is enough for me to compete. It goes without saying that during the off season I never let my self
go and I keep close to my competition weight.
12. GRM.net: What are you immediate plans for 2005?
Nadia: I would like to achieve a strong placing in an international competition.
13. GRM.net: Any last remarks before closing this short interview?
Nadia: I would like to take this chance and offer my deepest thanks to Mr. Panagiotis Katselos whose help and support brought me where I am today. Many of the good
things that happened in the Greek BB scene during the last four years are because of him.
14. GRM.net: Thanks a lot Nadia for your time. Best of luck to your future endeavours.
Nadia: My pleasure.
